There were a total of 3,234 votes cast in Platte County in the election yesterday. Of those votes 2,736 were Republican, 413 were Democratic, 85 were Nonpartisan, and 9 were blank.

Cynthia Lummis won the Republican US Senate Primary in Wyoming and she won in Platte County too. She picked up 61.98% of the votes with a total of 1,627.

Liz Cheney won the Republican nomination for Wyoming's sole U.S. House seat and she garnered most of the votes in Platte County. She picked up 70.57% of the votes with a total of 1,861.

The State Senator District #2 seat saw Brian Boner run unopposed.

The State Representative House district #4 seat was won by Jeremy Haroldson yesterday. Here in Platte County Haroldson picked up 57.4% of the vote with a total of 1,543. Incumbent Dan Kirkbride picked up 1,136 votes good for 42.26%. That House District seat is also decided in part by part of Converse County where Dan Kirkbride won 255 votes and Jeremy Haroldson picked up 80.

The Republican County Commisioner primary decided who would hold the position for the term because there's no opposition for the job coming from the Democratic party. Kayla Mantle won the election with a total of 1,521 votes - 57.18%. Incumbent Sandy Kontour picked up 42.56% of the vote with 1,132 votes.

Town of Wheatland Councilmembers were decided with the primary yesterday as well. Alan Madsen picked up 837 votes, Carolyn Williams picked up 655 votes and there were 136 write-in votes.
